The details
The moment the ceiling starts moving
Kinetic spheres are LED orbs on individually controlled winches. They rise, fall and change colour in choreographed patterns — and they turn dead ceiling space into the best-looking part of the room.
Each sphere hangs from its own motorised winch, which means the array can move as a wave, a spiral, a staircase or a flat plane, and can drop low over the dance floor before lifting back into the rig. Combined with full-colour LED, the ceiling becomes a piece of choreography rather than decoration.
We programme the array to the run of show. A slow, wide arrangement in warm tones while guests eat; a tighter, lower configuration with colour movement when the floor opens; sharp accent moments for entrances, reveals and awards. Our lighting technician runs it live from the room.
It sits especially well in ballrooms with high ceilings, hotel event spaces and convention centre rooms — venues with a lot of vertical volume that otherwise reads as empty in photos. It's equally at home over a corporate general session and over a wedding dance floor.
Every install begins with a rigging assessment: ceiling height, rigging points, weight loading, motor positions and power. We coordinate that directly with the venue's technical team, and the array is installed, programmed, operated and struck by our own crew.
