What does it look like?​

DJ Set up (The House)

We have a set design that looks like a two-story house with multiple rooms and a balcony. The house is built with LED video panels, so its look will change 100% depending on the music being played. These rooms will have musicians and light up according to each module.

Guests Set Up (The Dance floor)

For the dance floor, we have a ground supported truss structure that holds kinetic motors. The size will depend on the size of the crowd.  This structure will have different elements that will come down (using the kinetic motors) depending on the module that we are playing. Elements will include:

• Disco balls

• Kinetic spheres

• Suspended LED video panels 

• Pixel Lights

How is it modular?

Each part of the show is created to represent different decades as different “modules” that include musician combinations, production elements and music choices where we cover:  

•       (70s-80s) 

•       (90s-2000s) 

•       (2010s-2020s)

•       Latin 

•     Dance Music

The main idea behind this concept is to be able to still read the room and play according to the crowd and their reaction but to have  pre-planned moments where we get to incorporate different elements and wow the assistants 

 

How are some of the modules built?

These five modules would include different elements that would differentiate them from the other modules and would enhance and highlight the music of each module.

 

(70s-80s)  A.k.a The Disco Era 

- iRock Live: Dj + brass section (Sax, two trumpets and drums)

- Dance floor element: Disco Balls 

- DJ Stage element (The House): Retro videos and psychedelic visuals

- Disco dancers

(90s-2000s) a.k.a. The Millennial Era

- iRock Live: Dj + sax + bass + guitar

- Dance floor element: kinetic spheres

-DJ stage element (The House): 90s patterns, 90s retro, nostalgic elements (Tamagotchi, sketch board, tons of pink, yellow.)

(2010s-2020s) 2000’s Baby!

iRock Live: DJ + drummer + electric percussion

Dance floor element: suspended video screens 

Dj stage element (The House):  MTV vibe, music videos

Latin - RHYTHM: DJ+ Congas/Timbales + Trumpets

Who is this designed for?

Our vision is to create a modular experience that includes different “show aspects” that enhance the moment but don’t take away from the ultimate goal, which is for guests to enjoy themselves, dance, and have fun. This show is designed for a very wide range of people who enjoy music from the 1970s all the way to today’s hits, people in their 20s, 60s, and 70s.

 

The different modules allow us to adjust the experience based on the crowd’s reactions and, therefore, play more of what keeps most guests engaged and enjoying. When a module/genre doesn’t appeal to the crowd or needs to be switched, we are able to adjust the whole experience and go into a different module. This allows for versatility and gives the DJ the tools to read the room and play accordingly.
